All welcome, whether or not your child already speaks German.

Why German Language Immersion?

Drop-in mornings

Every Thursday

The Language Garden offers everyone that is interested in their child learning a second language the opportunity to drop-in during a Thursday morning. Due to Covid-19 we can only arrange after session visits for one family (currently a maximum of 5 people) at a time. These can be booked between 3-6pm, just contact us by clicking on the red button below and state your preferred Thursday and time. We shall be in touch shortly to confirm.
Bring your child or come along on your own to experience our immersive German-speaking environment in a warm and positive home-from-home setting yourselves.

We nurture and value a child’s language development through a holistic approach to learning. Young children learn naturally through play and exploration. We therefore create spaces for them to joyfully discover their world and their unique place in it. Our days follow a relaxed, but consistent rhythm, balancing child-led and teacher-led activities.

Why German Language Immersion?

“As a typical Brit who started learning German at school as a teenager, I wanted to give my son as much exposure to a different language and culture as early as possible. The Language Garden provides the perfect setting to do so. The children learn German through fun activities and play and there is a relaxed environment.

My son loves going and particularly enjoys the outdoor country walks and learning German songs. “

“The benefits of being bi/multi-lingual are well known, plus it's really fun that me and my son have our own special language to communicate in! Children really are sponges and it amazes me, (despite him not being from a German background) how much his German language skills have developed in a short period of time. The children also experience German culture and different festivities, e.g. the lantern walk and German Carnival!           If you are a non-native German speaker or someone who just wants your child to experience something a little bit different, then I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Language Garden...what have you got to lose!"
